This story is continued from Arion, Lord of Atlantis #23 and continues in part in Arion, Lord of Atlantis #25.

Synopsis:
Arion and Wyynde continue their battle in the arena with the crowd cheering for the mage's death. Garn Daanuth intervenes and orders that his brother's life be spared. Arion exits the arena and returns to his tower which is now guarded. He tries to fight his way through the guards, but fails. He is then brought to Garn for judgment.

Garn, who has now taken up a romance with Chian, tries to convince Arion that he is mad. Arion storms out of Garn's chambers and flees the city. Garn then consults with the spirit of his mother Majistra whose magic Garn used to influence the people of the city.

That night Arion secretly returns to the city and sneaks into his tower. He uses Caculha's crystal to speak with his father's spirit. Aided by his father's magic, Arion confronts Garn again who finally drops the act of the benevolent brother. Shortly after the battle between the two begins, Arion opens a portal into Darkworld. The fight continues with Arion coming out on top, and Garn being swallowed into the heart of the Darkworld.
