Synopsis:
During an exhibition, Superboy remembers how his super-suit was created. When he was still a baby, Clark’s playsuit was always getting torn because while Clark was invulnerable, the suit was not. During a fire, the Kents discover that the blankets which were in Kal-El’s rocket were invulnerable. Martha unraveled the yarn and sewed together an invulnerable playsuit for Clark. The yarn could only be cut with Clark’s X-ray vision.
Later, when Clark was older and ready to begin his career as a super-hero, Martha Kent enlarged the old playsuit to fit her son. Jonathan and Clark took pieces of the rocket to fashion a belt and boots for the costume. Finally a cape and the famous ‘S’ symbol were added. As Superboy got older the invulnerable material would stretch as he grew.
