Synopsis:
A confrontation on the street between One-Punch Mattson, a boxing champ, and bookworm Battling Sullivan leads to a fight. Sullivan punches Mattson at the same time Winged Victory is flying overhead. Victory loses a horseshoe which strikes Mattson in the head and knocks him out. No one sees the shoe, so they assume that Sullivan knocked out the champ.

Sullivan is then signed to a boxing match to fight Mattson. The Shining Knight knows the truth so he trains the weakling bookworm. Gangster Deuces Dixon tries to fix the fight, but the Shining Knight stops him.

As the fight begins, Mattson worries about getting hit with another big punch, even though Sullivan is really weak. His manager convinces Mattson to cheat, the Shining Knight exposes the trick. Mattson is disqualified, and Sullivan is named the winner.
