Synopsis:
On Christmas Day in an allied World War I field hospital, a young wounded soldier sketches a picture of German planes. An older soldier is outraged because the enemy planes are responsible for many missing men.
Having gone weeks without supplies, the hospital is running low on food. Suddenly a plane is heard overhead. It lands, and the pilot Hans Von Hammer emerges. He is delivering supplies to the other side. Thankful for the supplies, a nurse invites him to stay for dinner.
Von Hammer joins the nurse in a dance. When he sees the list of missing soldiers, the Enemy Ace offers a salute. The young soldier pulls out a gun, but the older soldier tells him to put it away. Von Hammer begins to thank the older man, but he is told to leave. He obliges and departs.
