Synopsis:
Swamp Thing is captured while wandering the desert by men in protective suits. He is taken to an underground facility run by Dr. Daniel Solomon. The facility also houses a group of plague victims. This particular plague was caused by the detonation of a experimental bomb which destroyed a nearby town. The townspeople soon became poisoned by radiation and deadly to the uninfected.

Swamp Thing is recruited by a group of victims intent on escape. Their plan is betrayed by Kate, one of the victims who is also Solomon's wife. The escape is thwarted, but Solomon is forced to shoot his own son. Swamp Thing alone makes it out of the facility before the anguished Dr. Solomon triggers an explosion which kills everyone inside.
