Synopsis:
Patrolman Mike Granite is shot and killed on the waterfront while attempting to capture the Longshoreman Kid. Before taking his final breath he gives his badge to Bruce Wayne. The badge is an honor that has been passed down from one cop to the next. Bruce decides to carry the badge of honor and joins the police force.

Bruce soon proves himself as a rookie cop, but the police work is interferring with his career as Batman. He decides to team with Mike's partner Jack Bennett to bring down the Longshoreman Kid after which he can quit the force. His plan fails and Bennett, Bruce, and Commissioner Gordon are all captured. However, Bruce helps them escape and is able to capture the crooks. He then passes the badge to Bennett and returns to fighting crime as Batman.
