Synopsis:
Batman and Robin match wits with an underwater villain known as the Tiger Shark. With the help of famed oceanographer Dr. Gaige, Batman constructs a Bat-submarine. Before construction is complete, he and Robin find Tiger Shark's underwater hide-out. However, they are caught in a bathysphere and presumed dead.

Batman and Robin are able to escape the bathysphere safely. Batman also allows the world to continue to believe that he is dead. He then goes after Tiger Shark in the new submarine.

When Tiger Shark sees the sub, he realizes that Batman is still alive. Batman and Robin apprehend the crook. Before unmasking his foe, Batman guesses that Tiger Shark must be Dr. Gaige, since he was the only one that knew about the submarine. Batman is correct, and Tiger Shark's criminal career is ended.
