When Batman and Robin apprehend a gang of jewel thieves, a postman is wounded in the crossfire. Batman takes over delivering the mail, while Robin escorts the postman to the hospital. When Batman delivers a letter to a patent attorney, he stumbles upon the Scuttler, a criminal mastermind from the West.

Batman is unable to apprehend the Scuttler, but he deduces where the crook will strike next. Scuttler tries to disrupt the mail system to steal a registered letter. Batman delays his opponent with a sleeping gas cartridge. Then he and Robin apprehend the crook. Due to the action of the Dynamic Duo, the mail is delivered correctly.
