Synopsis:
Gang leader Specs Dour discovers a formula that causes men to go insane. He uses the concoction on several wealthy men in order to blackmail their families for the antidote.

Lois Lane is kidnapped after she follows the gang back to their hide-out. Specs uses the formula on her to cause her to go crazy. Superman arrives to rescue her, but Specs forces him to drink the formula too. He then goes berserk, causing destruction all over town. When he flies uncontrolled into an atom bomb test, the explosion restores his sanity. He then repairs the damaged he caused, rescues Lois, and captures Specs.
