Synopsis:
Clark Kent rides along in a freight truck to get a story on the shipping industry. The truck is driven by veteran Gears Corrigan. A new driver, Walt Shade, who seems reluctant to talk about his past, is also along for the ride. During the trip hijackers stop the truck. Although Superman is there to help, Walt's inaction leads to the escape of the crooks.

Corrigan voices his suspicions that Walt may have been working with the hijackers. Superman investigates and learns that Shade is really Walt Brodie, a former police officer who lost his nerve after shooting a thief. When the hijackers strike again, Walt regains his nerve and redeems himself.
