Synopsis:
Superboy travels to a red sun planet to find food suitable for an ailing albino ape who has contracted a mysterious virus. The Boy of Steel brings alien bananas back to Earth and uses them to bolster the ape's strength until a cure for the virus is found. While Superboy saves the ape, Martha Kent gives the remaining bananas to Lana Lang for a picnic.

The next day at the picnic, Bash Bashford consumes the alien bananas and is imbued with super strength. Bash, an arrogant jock, begins using his new powers to promote himself and show off. Superboy tries to convince him to stop using the powers. Eventually, Bash is humbled and his powers wear off.
