Synopsis:
Professor Ira West invents a telescope which can see planets in distant star systems in real time. He sends the telescope to Barry Allen who sees trouble on an alien world. As the Flash, Barry uses a light beam emitted from the telescope to travel to the alien planet. He then stops the planet from exploding before returning home.

After the adventure, Professor West explains that he sent the telescope to Barry by mistake. When he comes to retrieve it, the professor drops it. The telescope is broken and the formula used to create it is accidentally painted over. The absent-minded professor is then unable to recall how to rebuild it.
