Part 2: "The Super-Detective"

Synopsis:
Superman is worried that someone may discover his secret identity. He asks Batman to test his secret. Superman uses a machine to remove the knowledge of his secret from Batman's mind. Then Batman goes to work to uncover Superman's secret. Using brainwave patterns Batman soon discovers that Superman is Clark Kent.

Superman feels badly that he allowed his secret to be discovered. He issues the same challenge to Batman, promising to prohibit himself from using his super-senses. Superman then uses the amnesia device to remove the knowledge of Batman's secret identity from his mind.

Superman's efforts to discover Batman's secret are continually thwarted. The Man of Steel soon becomes obsessed with solving the mystery. Batman finally allows Superman to learn his secret, because he began to worry that Superman was neglecting his duties in order to solve the puzzle. Though Superman is the World's Mightiest Mortal, Batman proves that Superman is not the World's Greatest Detective.
