Synopsis:
Dr. Helmar Helstrom, an inventor and member of Bruce Wayne’s gentlemen’s club, tells the other club members about a special typewriter he has recently acquired. Helstrom is also working on a government project in his lab, which is guarded by Batman.

That night Helstrom’s lab is broken in to. Batman receives the alarm and arrives to find that the Cavalier is stealing the typewriter. While they fight, more crooks arrive to steal Helstrom’s project. Batman defeats them, but Cavalier escapes with the typewriter.

Batman suspects the Cavalier is secretly a member of the gentlemen’s club. He spots a stain on one man’s hand which matches the Cavalier. When next they meet Batman reveals that the Cavalier is really Mortimer Drake. Drake leaves town, telling Batman he will be back soon using another identity.
