Synopsis:
Howard Parker and his son visit the Space Museum. Howard then tells Tommy the story of Ron Madden. As a lieutenant in the space-police, Madden traveled to Thalar in pursuit of Gorlon, a criminal master of disguise. However, the planet was embattled against an invasion by an alien race. Madden helped to repel the invaders and was proclaimed a hero. Such was his success that he was promoted.

Some time later, Madden became an ambassador. He was sent back to Thalar. Although, he should have been hailed as a hero, the people now hated him. Madden realizes that Gorlon had impersonated him and swindled the Thalarian people. Madden tracks down Gorlon uses a unique jewel. He then apprehends the criminal and obtains a confession using a sound-camera made to look like the jewel. The sound-camera is now displayed in the Space Museum.
