Synopsis:
Aquaman is summoned to Alaska by oceanographer Dan Davidson after he discovers a chemical is killing the fish and driving them mad. He suspects the local factories owned by Miles Leland are responsible, but Leland is preventing an investigation. A saboteur has also begun striking at the factories and setting off explosives.

Leland sets a trap for the saboteur. Aquaman prevents them from shooting each other, but he is left for dead in a fire. The saboteur and Leland continue their fight outside. By the time Aquaman recovers both men die when they fall from a cliff. As he is dying, the saboteur reveals himself as Phil Darson, an acquaintance of the Sea King. He wanted to stop the factories from polluting the waters.

Meanwhile in Atlantis, the Ocean Master arrives under a signal of truce requesting Aquaman's help.
