Crawling from the Wreckage Part 3 of 4
This story is continued in part from Doom Patrol #20 and continues in Doom Patrol #22.
Synopsis:
Robotman and Crazy Jane, fleeing from the Scissormen, make their way through the empty streets of Kansas City to the demolished headquarters of the Doom Patrol. The city itself has been transformed and pillars of bone litter the landscape. Cliff and Jane board a jet and escape.
The Chief and Joshua Clay meet them at the headquarters of the original Justice League. After Robotman fills in the Chief on the details of the escape, Jane deciphers a black book of metafiction which is turning the world into the unreal world of Orqwith.
After the Chief leaves to locate the philosophers who compiled the black book, Robotman and Josh are left to guard a Scissorman captured by Rebis. They fall under attack which results in Josh being cut out of reality. The others return only to find the headquarters surrounded. Cliff, Jane, and Rebis charge their assembled adversaries and also appear to fall victim to the scissormen.
