Synopsis:
J'onn J'onzz battles one of Professor Ivo's androids after watching it with Gypsy. He destroys the robot, but is unable to learn where Ivo is hiding.

Meanwhile, Steel and Vixen argue about the presidential order that has banned super-hero activities. Steel disregards the order and takes to the street in costume. Bystanders call the police who show up to arrest him. One of the cops is Ivo's robot who engages Steel in battle. Steel prevails, but he is fatally damaged.

J'onn arrives too late to save Steel. He takes the damaged hero back to his grandfather, but Heywood is unable to make repairs that would save the boy's life. He turns off life support and allows Steel to die.
