Synopsis:
Adam Strange catches the Zeta-Beam in Rio De Janeiro and arrives on Rann amidst a great battle. The battle is fought between the Ranagarians and the Reekans, a group of barbarians. Adam is knocked out during the fight while the Reekans take prisoners including Alanna.

When Adam regains consciousness Sardath tells him about the impenetrable Reekan fortress. The barbarians are demanding weapons and ships or they will kill hostages beginning with Alanna. Adam uses a Trojan horse strategy against the enemy. He sends a ship loaded with gas to disable to Reekans. Adam then leads a group of Ranagarians to take the fortress. He rescues Alanna, then is transported back to Earth.
