The Kents find a baby on their doorstep. A note is found in the basket stating that the baby is Kit-El from Krypton. The note also warns not to feed the baby milk.

The Kents soon discover that the baby does possess super strength. Superboy decides to disregard the warning and give the baby milk. After attending to his duties, Superboy returns home and discovers that Kit-El has aged into a teenager. Kit-El claims that the milk caused rapid aging.

Clark then attends school. He again returns home and finds Kit-El aged into manhood. He seeks a cure for the rapid aging on the planet Gerion, but is unsuccessful. When he returns to Earth Kit-El is an old man.

Kit-El then reveals that he is really four individuals. The adult "Kit-El" is named Qor Sulor. He and his family travel the galaxy and play practical jokes. This joke was on Superboy. The Boy of Steel is a good sport and bids the family farewell. He has the last laugh however as he already knew that Kit-El was a fake. He also replaces the fuel in the family's ship with milk. After refueling the ship with real rocket fuel, the family leaves Earth.
