Synopsis:
Sergeant Bob Branigan is involved in a shooting while breaking up a gang of racketeers. During the fight, a woman is killed and Branigan is blamed. He is also blinded in the fight.

Branigan is expelled from the police force despite the testimony by Lois Lane in his defense. To clear Branigan, Lois tracks down the identity of the dead woman. She learns it is Talley’s ex-wife, but is captured by Talley. Superman and Branigan rescue her and Branigan’s sight is restored.
