Synopsis:
At the Midvale Orphanage, Linda Lee is chosen by a couple, the Dales, to become their foster daughter. The Dales run a side-show and use Linda in their act as a strong girl. Using unseen gimmicks, she is able to fake super-strength. Unknown to Linda, the Dales sell the crowd a Power Tonic which they claim is responsible for the enormous strength.

Linda gets wise to the swindle and tricks her foster parents into believing the Power Tonic works. Mr. Dale takes the money he took for the side-show audience and uses it to buy more of the formula. Linda, as Supergirl, takes the money and returns it to the rightful owners. Mr. Dale is stuck with the phony formula that never worked. Broke from their mistakes, the Dales return Linda to the orphanage.
