Synopsis:
Having being drugged by Chuma, Wonder Woman lays paralyzed as the priest finishes telling her the story of Barbara Minerva's transformation into the Cheetah. In order to complete the ritual, Minerva willingly killed her own expedition leader and drank his blood. She then gained the power of the cat-god from the Urzkartaga plant. However, because she was not a virgin, her body began to deteriorate. Only as the Cheetah was she able to maintain her strength.
After Chuma completes his story, Wonder Woman rises. She detected the poison before consuming it and was feigning weakness. Now, she learns the Minerva has taken her magic lasso to Egypt. The Amazon princess follows the trail into the desert where she is engulfed in a sandstorm.
She survives the storm and finds her way to a mosque where two female guards have been murdered by the Cheetah. Wonder Woman then finds herself surrounded by a group of Amazon women.
