This story continues in the second story of Adventure Comics #253.

Synopsis:
Giant arrows the size of buildings begin to fall in populated areas. The arrows are a menace to the people, so Green Arrow and Speedy try to determine the source of the arrows. Professor Riggles at an observatory sees giants in space firing the arrows, but they have no spaceship.

Green Arrow and Speedy find a giant cable arrow. They climb aboard and are pulled back through an interdimensional portal. The archers discover the arrows are being fired through the portal by giant children.
