Synopsis:
Investigating the death of Morton Carling brings Lois and Clark to the offices of Nelson and Lassiter, attorneys. They are informed that Carling received death threats and was possibly killed by one of his forty heirs. Clark and Lois question the heirs, but while doing so Clark is kidnapped by some thugs. He is thrown from a car during a chase between the thugs and police, but he got the telephone number of the crooks’ boss.
Visiting the Jackson Jewel Company, where the call originated, Superman spots Jackson selling worthless jewels for large sums of money. Lois, also investigating, is caught by Jackson forcing Superman to make a rescue. Lois recovers evidence that the Jewel Company is a front for a murder ring.
Superman follows Jackson back to Nelson and Lassiter who were responsible for Carling’s death. The crooks turn on each other, but Superman rounds them up turning them over to police.
