Synopsis:
Superman visits the American southwest where a tribe of Navarro indians are threatening visitors celebrating pioneer days. The indians and their leader Red Hawk are upset that a new rocket test site has been constructed on their land. To keep the peace, Superman offers to move the site, but the owner Frank Haldane refuses the offer.

Superman then conspires with the shaman Old Snake. The shaman pretends to use magic to create weather catastrophes around the facility. Superman stops them, but he is also secretly causing the damage in the first place. During one of the events, Old Snake dies of a heart attack, ruining his plan.

Red Hawk then leads Superman to some cave dwellings. The Man of Steel suddenly loses his powers when he is exposed to a red jewel. The indians then intend to use Superman as a hostage to trade for their land.
