Synopsis:
Racketeer, Brute Bashby, has taken control of the small town of Gateston. Jim Terrill, editor of the local paper, is critical of Bashby and his unknown boss which leads to Terrill death in a car bombing. Lois and Clark arrive in town to investigate the racketeering. Additionally, the Gateston Gazette printing press is also bombed stopping production of the paper.
Clark contacts the publisher of the Daily Planet, who gratiously agrees to replace the destroyed equipment. Bashby tries to stop the delivery, but Superman intervenes. Bashby steps up his threats on the town, but Lois learns that a local lawyer, Morton Twist, is Bashby boss. They try to kill her with a car bomb as well, but Superman saves her. He forces the crooks into the rigged car, and gains confessions from the fearful men which ends the corruption in Gateston.
