Lois and Lana both use Lana's bio-ring to become Insect Queen in this story.

Synopsis:
While Lois Lane's apartment undergoes repairs, she stays at Lana's. When a crisis arises, Lois borrows Lana's bio-ring to become Insect Queen. She rescues a girl from a fire and stops a gang of thieves. Lois writes about the experience in the Daily Planet.

Female criminal Velvet O'Mara reads the story, then steals the ring. She then sets a trap for Superman by becoming Kryptonian insects. Lois and Lana help to get the ring back, save Superman, and capture Velvet.
