Synopsis:
Lois Lane impersonates actress Lois La Flamme in order to attend a party to get a story from a visiting ambassador. Superman sees through her disguise, so he approaches her as Clark Kent. He professes love for Lois, but she rejects him. Lois then thinks Clark will kill himself, so she tries to stop him.

Count Armand, the real La Flamme's suitor, has also overheard Clark's proposal. Lois has said she loves Superman, so Armand challenges the Man of Steel to a duel. Armand seems to perish when bullets ricochet off Superman and hit him. Lois reveals her true identity to Superman, who explains that the duel was a hoax to get even with her for the disguise.
