Lois Lane begin exhibiting strange unexplained behavior. First she begins shivering from intense cold which even close proximity to the sun can not remedy. Next she begins having an uncontrollable desire to eat flowers. Then she gains cat-like legs which enable her to climb and maintain her balance. Superman is unable to explain or allieviate Lois's ailments. Each symptom eventually passes on its own.

Lois then meets Princess Zerna of Arctor, an alien in love with Superman. Zerna admits to being responsible for Lois's strange condition. She wants to win Superman for herself and steals Lois's body to carry out her plan. Lois is unable to stop the alien from possessing her body, but she tricks the alien into revealing herself to Superman. Zerna leaves Earth in disgust, and Superman is impressed by Lois's ability to outwit the alien.
