Synopsis:
Two alien gamblers arrive on Earth and threaten to destroy the planet unless Superman willingly takes the life of a single person. Superman plans to refuse their demands, but the aliens demonstrate they can carry out their threat. Superman then tries to kill himself, but the aliens won't let him. Finally, he stages the death of Clark Kent in a nuclear blast. Though the aliens know his secret identity, they decide not to carry out their threat. One alien bet the other that Superman would not break his code. Now, they consider the bet settled. The aliens then erase the memory of everyone on Earth except Superman, so that the Man of Steel can resume his civilian identity.
