Synopsis:
A new crook appoints himself head of an underworld gang. The crook calls himself Achilles because he claims to have been dipped in the river Styx like the legendary hero. He also appears to be invulnerable to harm.

As Achilles begins to rob several places, he comes into contact with Superman. The Man of Steel is unable to approach the crook because he carries Kryptonite around his neck. Also police cannot stop the crook because their bullets have no effect.

Superman finally tricks the crook by using knockout gas against him. The police remove the Kryptonite, allowing Superman to get close enough to reveal a magnet Achilles had hidden in his foot which repelled metal objects such as bullets.
