Synopsis:
Blackie Burke, an ex-con suffering from hallucinations takes a hunting trip to Smallville. While in the woods, he spots Superboy flying out of his secret tunnel exit from the Kent home. From this Burke deduces Superboy’s secret identity.

When the son of his ex-cellmate, Dirk Jagger, shows up with some Kryptonite, the two capture Clark and use the Kryptonite to kill him. Then Dirk takes Superboy’s place. Suddenly, Burke begins seeing strange illusions and blacks out. Dirk is really Superboy in disguise, and Clark was a disguised Brainiac 5. Together they hoaxed Burke in order to make his discovery of the secret tunnel seem like a hallucination. When Burke awakens, he believes the entire scenario was hallucinated.
