Comments:
This story reveals the origin of Wonder Woman's Diana Prince identity. This story is based on the first story of Sensation Comics #1, which relates the Earth-2 version of events. Since this version is slightly different and leads into the second story in this issue which greatly contradicts Earth-2 continuity, it likely occurs on Earth-1. The real Diana Prince returns in later stories, set on Earth-1, which provide further evidence. However, this story does partially contradict the second story of Wonder Woman #99. To reconcile the discrepancies, the previous story must not have been Wonder Woman's first use of the Diana Prince identity.

This story continues in part in the second story of Wonder Woman #162.

Synopsis:
Shortly after arriving in the Man's World, Wonder Woman brings the injured Steve Trevor to a military hospital. After dropping Steve off, Wonder Woman explores the city and stops a bank robbery. She then meets army nurse Diana Prince, whose fiance is in South America. Wonder Woman gives Diana her reward money for stopping the robbery, so that she can join her fiance. Wonder Woman then assumes Diana's identity as a nurse in order to be close to Steve.

Meanwhile, Steve has left his hospital bed and commandeered a fighter in order to stop an enemy bomber which is preparing to attack the city. Steve crashes his plane into bomber, then bails out. Wonder Woman rescues him and ensures that the exploding planes don't pose a danger to the city. She then returns Steve to the hospital.
