Comments:
This story is continued from the second story of Action Comics #315.

Superman appears only as a computer simulation.

Synopsis:
Supergirl's Kryptonian parents realize their daughter is depressed after having abandoned her life as Linda Lee. Zor-El offers to use a computer to show her what the future will be like. The computer simulation shows her life on Earth with her parents.

While the simulation starts off favorably, the computer shows that Earth will be attacked by the Zygor, a creature responsible for an attack on Argo City. The creature hates Zor-El and has tracked him to Earth. The Zygor gains domination over Supergirl using Red Kryptonite, then forces her to choose whether to kill her father or Superman.

Supergirl is horrified by the simulation. Her parents suggest that if they return to Kandor, the Zygor will be unable to track Zor-El to Earth in the future. As a result, Zor-El and Allura return to Kandor, and the Danvers come back to Midvale. Zor-El never tells his daughter that the Zygor is long since dead, and that the computer simulation was fabricated as an excuse to return to Kandor.
