Synopsis:
Chemicals in the ocean have revived Chemo. The chemical menace threatens a plane and a ship with flashes of liquid chemicals. The Metal Men protect the damaged transports, but Lead is destroyed in the process.
The Metal Men then return to Doc's lab. Tin, Gold, Iron, and Nameless throw themselves into a boiling cauldron, believing themselves failures. Only Tina and Mercury are left intact. Doc rebuilds the team, but does not activate them. He then sets out to find Chemo.
Tina and Mercury follow Doc. When their creator is captured, they return to the lab to revive the other Metal Men. Mercury wants to be the leader, so he does not reattach their heads which contain their responsometers.
When they arrive to confront Chemo, Mercury finally tries to reactivate them. Their heads get placed on the wrong bodies. The confusion leads to the destruction of Iron, Lead, and Gold. Tin and Nameless are revived and are able to sacrifice themselves to defeat Chemo. Later, Doc resurrects the entire team in the lab.
