Synopsis:
Flash discovers that the people of Central City have suddenly become possessed with super-speed. The city is also cut-off from the outside world by an impenetrable barrier. Flash then receives a telepathic message from Grodd, who claims responsibility for the situation. He blackmails Flash into freeing him from a cell in Gorilla City in order to remove the effect.

Flash reluctantly agrees to Grodd's conditions and releases the super-ape. Flash then learns that Grodd was not responsible for the effect, it was actually caused by a rare astrological condition, which can not be repeated. Flash then tries to recapture Grodd. The gorilla is ready for his foe, but the Scarlet Speedster still prevails. Grodd is then sent back to his cell in Gorilla City.
