Synopsis:
Jimmy Olsen is jealous of actor Edd "Kookie" Byrnes. He decides to start a fad that people will follow, just like the "Kookie" comb. Jimmy’s fads include blowing bubbles, wearing dark glasses, wearing a bow tie, and flipping a coin. They each appear to do well at first, but he realizes that it is just a coincidence, and he has not started a trend.

The coin flipping fad almost gets him killed, as Jimmy is mistaken for "Joe the Flip", a crook. Some hoods try to bump him off, but Superman intervenes in time to save Jimmy. Fortunately a bullet that would have killed Jimmy is stopped by a "Kookie" comb in Jimmy’s pocket. The boy reporter finally gives up his jealous of Byrnes.
