Synopsis:
Aboard her yacht, Lisa Morel sees a man trapped underwater through the glass-bottom of the boat. Quickly she dives in to save the man. She is able to free him from the giant clam which has him pinned. The man is Aquaman and while freeing him Lisa remained underwater for over 5 minutes.

Lisa continues to display powers similar to Aquaman’s. She can swim at amazing speeds, communicate with sea life, and has the one hour limit for remaining out of water. She takes the name Aquagirl and joins Aquaman on patrol.

She assists Aquaman, but her power suddenly vanish. Aquaman explains that she was born in Atlantis. Some children born there could not adapt to the underwater world and were sent away. Her purple eyes are the physical sign that she is one of these children. Her parents found her in the ocean and kept her for their own. Her temporary powers are now gone forever.
