Synopsis:
Crime boss Ruby Dexter decides to hit Smallville. To eliminate Superboy he takes a group of people hostage. He then forces Superboy to stay off the Earth for 24 hours. The Boy of Steel is forced to agree to the crook's terms. From the air, he is still able to thwart the gang's attempted crimes.

Dexter then tries to expose Superboy's secret identity by announcing that the boy missing from school must be Superboy. The Boy of Steel creates an illusionary Clark Kent to cover his identity. He also helps rescue the hostages and capture Dexter's gang.
