Synopsis:
When Lana Lang's parents return from an expedition, they give her a helmet they found. Superboy then saves Lana from a lightning strike. To protect his secret identity, he doesn't reveal himself to Lana. Lana then concludes that the helmet gives her super powers.

Lana's conclusion is later supported when she puts the helmet on Clark Kent, and he survives a gunshot. To further protect his secret, Superboy is forced to make Lana believe the helmet works.

Lana continues to take risks while wearing the helmet. Superboy tries repeatedly to cause Lana to lose it, but the helmet keep getting returned. After capturing a gang of jewel thieves, Superboy finally gets the helmet away from Lana by mixing it in with a large number of identical helmets.
