Synopsis:
An old cavalryman named Ramrod joins Easy. The former sergeant is a born leader, but he wants to lead Easy on a charge like the cavalry. Ramrod disobeys Rock on several occasions, but when Easy needs to take a hill from the enemy Ramrod proves his worth by leading the charge. Ramrod dies in the successful battle after getting his wish to lead a charge.
