Synopsis:
Green Lantern is asked to participate in a charity event to draw a crowd. After agreeing, he is swarmed by the Green Lantern Fan Club, a group consisting of many young women.

Later at the Ferris plant, GL, as Hal Jordan, speaks with Carol Ferris. She reveals that she is going to follow the leap year tradition and ask Green Lantern to marry her. She plans on springing this question at the charity drive. Hal attempts to dissuade Carol, but he is viewed as jealous by Carol. Hal sweats his dilemma because he wishes to win Carol’s affection only as Hal Jordan.

At the charity event, Green Lantern helps out by creating a giant umbrella to prevent a momentary rain shower. He then must dodge Carol. First he explains that he must finish his speech. Next he claims that a small boy’s toy airplane prevents him from hearing her question. Finally a solution comes to him. He uses the ring to create a "Chiller Diller" menace as a distraction. At the same moment the toy airplane strikes GL’s head and knocks him unconscious.

As Carol rushes GL to the doctor, the creature begins to demolish the city. Even the might of army tanks are unable to bring the creature to a halt. Green Lantern recovers at the doctor’s office and races off to remove the monster. After having done so, he is confronted by Carol, who is able to pop the question. Suddenly, the member of his fan club rush up and propose to him. He is able to escape by turning everyone down.
