The events of this story take place from September, 1939 to sometime after the Nazi invasion of France.

Synopsis:
Libby Lawrence is in Poland with her father Major James Lawrence when the Nazi invasion begins in September, 1939. Libby's father is killed. Libby is able to escape the country with the help of Rickey Cannon, a friend of her father who appears to be working with the Nazis. Libby arrives in Holland only to see that country invaded too. Next she moves to France, who soon surrenders to the Nazi Blitzkrieg.

Libby escapes by swimming the English Channel. When she arrives in England, she tells her story before returning to America. Libby begins warning her country of the Nazi threat. Her heroic ordeal makes her an ideal spokeswoman.

After visiting the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, Libby discovers that the tiny replica of the bell which she carries vibrates when the real bell is struck. The vibrations provide her with strength and bravery, so she decides to become a costumed hero, Liberty Belle.

Libby then discovers that Rickey Cannon is in America. She still believes that he is a Nazi spy, so she follows him to a Nazi meeting. At the meeting Rickey shows himself as an undercover American intelligence agent. As Liberty Belle, she helps Rickey stop the spies and recover their plans. As a result Rickey becomes fascinated by the new costumed female.
