Synopsis:
When Commissioner Manley is arrested for the murder of a contractor, Superman goes to work in order to clear the honest man. Blinky Moxby a small-time thief witnessed the murder by gangster Mike Chandler. When Blinky refuses to come forward Superman tracks him down. Fearing the thief won't reveal what he knows, Superman pretends to be killed.

The world mourns the loss of Superman. Blinky gets credit for killing Superman. The Man of Steel then pretends to be a ghost and haunts Blinky. He scares the crook into confessing what he knows in a crowded theatre. The confession helps set Manley free and indicts Chandler on murder charges.
