Synopsis:
Artist William Wilson has a vivid dream in which a bird creature abducts and kills a man. When he wakes up, he captures the scene on canvas. The following day, he reads a newspaper article concerning a man abducted and killed by a bird creature.
The following night, Wilson has another dream about a sea creature killing a man. He wakes and paints this scene too. Later he learns it really happened. Wilson is not sure if his dreams caused the deaths or if he was only able to dream about them.
The Phantom Stranger appears and tells Wilson that he suspects something less than supernatural at work. That night the Stranger waits as Wilson dreams of a Meduaa creature killing him. In the morning he paints the picture. Then the Medusa creature appears in his home.
The Phantom Stranger returns and defeats the Medusa. He then exposes the creature as Harold Devers, a rival artist. Devers planted the dreams by broadcasting through a hidden speaker as Wilson slept. He then committed murders and made them appear supernatural. The killer is turned over to police, and the Stranger disappears.
