Synopsis:
Sue Dibny is set to unveil the paintings of a newly discovered artist at the York Art Gallery. However the artist, Peter Baker, and his paintings turn up missing. The Elongated Man investigates at Baker's home. There he witnesses three crooks stealing a painting. Ralph pursues them, but is knocked unconscious.

When he recovers he notices that his stretchable finger is still attached to the crooks' car. He follows his finger to the thieves' hide-out where he finds Baker. The crooks including their leader, Bolton Hume, have kidnapped Baker and used a forgery of one his paintings to smuggle in a stolen painting. Ralph barges in and defeats the crooks. Finally, Baker is able to display his work to the public.
