Comments:
This story is continued from Firestorm, the Nuclear Man #74.

Martin Stein is revealed to be alive in this story and is still connected to Firestorm.

Synopsis:
Due to Ronnie's belief that the Sand Demon is Martin Stein, Firestorm is paralyzed in combat. He splits apart and returns home. Ronnie is confused and finds his parents missing. They have been taken by gangsters into the desert where they learn that the Sand Demon is Eddie Slick, a man the gangsters had killed and buried in the desert.

The Raymonds escape, and Felicity tells Ron. Ron remembers Eddie Slick who looked just like Professor Stein. He becomes Firestorm again, then defeats the Sand Demon. He then tracks down Ed Raymond who has caught the gang boss Chaz Harsh by himself.

After the fight, Ed takes Ronnie to mental health facility where the real Martin Stein was taken. His brain tumor was destroyed by the nuclear blast, but he lost all his memories. The doctor explains that Stein becomes comatose on occasion, which indicates he is still part of Firestorm. Ronnie is reunited at last with his friend.
