This story is continued from Doctor Fate #4 and continues in Doctor Fate #6.
Synopsis:
Doctor Fate, now under the control of Linda Strauss, returns to London to confront Typhon who has been attempting to drive Eric insane. The two fight while Nabu converses with the Lords of Chaos. Eventually the fight is stopped. The Lord of Chaos tell Typhon to wait until after they stop the Mahapralaya before killing Doctor Fate. Nabu then gets a lead that takes the group to India.
Meanwhile in Eustania, Azzarene tells Andrew Bennett how he was turned into a vampire during the time of Christ. He was then consumed by a thirst for blood. The hunger was finally sated after drinking the blood of a dying Christ on the cross. He then became a servant of God and was eventually entrusted to guard the Holy Grail. Bennett then drinks from the cup and disappears.
Bennett finds himself in a temple in India. A statue inside the temple holds the flute of Krishna. Doctor Fate and his companions arrive just in time to see Bennett begin playing the flute which is the trigger to bring on the Mahapralaya.
