Synopsis:
Batman rescues several hostages from terrorists at a chemical plant. He is wounded in the process. Talia finds him and brings him back to the Batcave for medical attention. Together they learn that the terrorist known as Qayin was responsible for the attack at the chemical plant. Qayin was responsible for the murder of Talia's mother.
Batman follows a clue from the chemical plant to Harris Blaine, a scientist involved in rainmaking. Blaine is murdered before Batman can question him. A clue at the scene leads Batman to blame Ra's Al Ghul for Blaine's death.
Batman and Talia travel to Al Ghul's stronghold. Ra's claims no involvement in Blaine's murder. He then offers an alliance with Batman. The Dark Knight accepts the offer which includes a marriage to Talia. Batman then begins training Al Ghul's forces for an attack on Qayin.
Batman deduces that Qayin will be involved with the launch of a weather satellite. Batman leads forces to stop Qayin, but the terrorist is able to plant a control device on the satellite. One of Al Ghul's men is captured in the process.
Batman and Talia return to the stronghold where they learn that Talia is pregnant. When Qayin attacks them, Batman's only concern is the safety of his wife and unborn child. Ra's Al Ghul wants to mount a counter assault after the attack is over, but Batman refuses to go. When Talia tells him that she has had a miscarriage, he changes his mind.
Batman and Ra's then attack Golatia where Qayin has taken control of the weather satellite. Qayin is using it to send a hurricane into Moscow prompting the Soviet's to blame to United States. Batman battle Qayin while Ra's deactivates the device which is preventing the Americans from using the satellite's self destruct. When the device is turned off, the satellite is destroyed, ending the threat. Qayin is also killed.
Batman and Ra's return to the stronghold where Talia is recovering. She sends Batman away. He leaves as requested. Nine months later Talia gives birth to their son which she gives up for adoption.
